This is an experimental word game, where the computer is the player trying to place the letter tiles to make words, while you choose which is the next letter for the computer.

The game might seem a little bit on the slow side, but hold your horses and recognize that even though the computer is a very fancy player it still takes a little while to come up with the fanciest of strategies.

So there are two different ways to play it:

- Cooperative (try and help the computer get as high a score as possible)

- Antagonistically (try and get the computer to get their worst score ever)

(Should you want to cheat, typing "GAMEOVER" will make the computer loose its current game, but doing so is not very fair,  and what type of person would you be if you did so. What if the next game you play crashes on you! Karma)

---

For those interested about how the computer plays the game.

The computer knows all the words (word list is similar to the allowed scrabble lists).

The computer uses two different strategies when placing the letter tiles.

First it checks all lanes, how many and long words are created if the letter is dropped there. It does not take into account if there could be more words created as a secondary effect of that the tiles of first word(s) are removed.

Second, if it can't make any word it counts all possible future words that still could be written given the letter is dropped in a certain lane and that no letters are removed.

RIP headphone users. Such a loud crashing sound!

Ouch, I’m so sorry. The sounds didn’t seem that loud on in my headphones, but perhaps I have the volume quite low or I’m getting old and need to check out my hearing.
